A Message from Dr. Codjoe

I treat the patient, not the pathology.

We are each different, not only in anatomical structure, but in how we approach life – taking care of our families, pursuing work, and participating in sports, hobbies, and meaningful activities.

Treatment plans, therefore, should take into consideration all aspects of the entire person. And to do that effectively, I must listen first.

Listening is the essential element to understanding.

Listening first ensures that my practice is a good fit for each patient that seeks care from me. Listening to – and advocating for – patients is also important when it is in the individual’s best interest to make a referral or to collaborate with other healthcare professionals.

Another important aspect of my treatment philosophy is my focus on using conservative measures whenever possible. Selecting minimally invasive joint reconstructive procedures generally provide for shorter hospitals stays with less pain and complications. However, some conditions or injuries may require a more aggressive approach, and those decisions are made only after thorough consultations and consideration of all factors and potential outcomes.

Dr. Paul Codjoe is a proud member of the Mercer Bucks Orthopedics team.

Dr. Codjoe is the best! I did know a few people that used him for a complete knee replacement and they were pleased with their results. After all my researching of doctors I chose Dr. Codjoe. Not only am I doing amazing with my knee, his staff is wonderful. My physical therapist told me to thank Dr. Codjoe for him because "Dr. Codjoe made his job easier" since the progress of my knee surpassed the average ability to get back to my normal routine. I am so happy I chose Dr. Codjoe he is the best!

He has helped me regain function, and eased my pain, When I went to see him I could barely walk upstairs, and had extreme knee pain. He has been caring for me for over 5 years now and has helped me push off surgery. He has a great bedside manner, answers all of my question, and works with me to develop a plan that is best for me . He even followed up with me after my visit with a phone call! I recommend Dr. Codjoe to all of my friends.

Dr. Codjoe performed bilateral knee replacement surgery on my mother. He was attentive and very kind. Explained the procedure many times to both my mother and myself. As a registered nurse with an orthopedic background, I was very grateful and impressed with Dr. Codjoe'sattention to detail and experience. My mother is now up and walking and doing all the things she loves to do. I will recommend him to anyone at anytime.

My knee had been bothering me when I ran for too long. Dr. Codjoe took great care of me and made sure that I took the proper precautions to not further injure it. With daily physical therapy I was able to control it and have been symptom free ever since.
